Minute Men Amateur Athletics Foundation
The Minute Men Foundation was formed in 1998 as a 501 (c) (3) charitable foundation. At that time sponsorships and contributions from various Minute Men Ltd. activities were expanding and it was necessary to provide a non-profit, charitable foundation to accommodate the needs of sponsors and corporate partners.
The Minute Men Amateur Athletics Foundation is, of necessity, a completely separate entity from the Minute Men Ltd. with their own Board of Directors and Articles of Incorporation. The stated purpose of the Foundation is to promote cultural diversity and inclusiveness of all persons, as well as better standards of living, health, personal growth and civic pride of all participants in amateur athletics through support of athletic events, development of athletic facilities and programs for youth.
The Minute Men Amateur Athletics Foundation makes periodic awards to qualified charitable athletic and youth based applicants. Funding for the Foundation comes from, but is not limited to, activities that are related to the distinction programs of the Minute Men Ltd (Mr. Hockey, Ms. Softball, Mr. Baseball and Mr./Ms Lacrosse) as well as other special events.
